Abstract

This article from Clinical & Experimental Allergy presents a scoping review of existing questionnaires aimed at measuring the household financial burden of food allergies. The review highlights gaps in current cost measures and the need for an updated questionnaire to accurately assess the economic impact of food allergies on households. Two questionnaires, BELANA and FA‐EcoQ, were identified, each with strengths and limitations in capturing the financial burden of food allergies. The study emphasizes the importance of considering broader socio-economic challenges and emerging treatment approaches when developing tools to assess the household costs of food allergies.
