Abstract

This article discusses the efficacy and safety of a 7-week immunotherapy protocol for patients with hymenoptera venom allergy. The study found that venom immunotherapy was effective in a majority of patients, with adverse events being rare and mild. The researchers introduced a shorter updosing protocol with eight injections in 7 weeks, which improved patient acceptance and compliance. The study also demonstrated the safety and efficacy of the protocol for Alutard SQ® Apidae immunotherapy. Overall, the quicker protocol improved the efficiency of the immunotherapy clinic and increased patient satisfaction.
