Title

Letter to the Editor—The transition point from zero‐order to first order in blood alcohol elimination curves. Where is it?

Authors

Abstract

The article discusses the transition point from zero-order to first-order elimination in blood alcohol concentration calculations. It highlights the importance of accurately determining this transition point for forensic alcohol calculations. The study reviewed empirical data and found that the transition point should remain at 20 mg/100 mL, as all identified studies supported this value. The article recommends maintaining the current BAC threshold for assuming linearity in alcohol elimination calculations.
