- Abstract
The article discusses iron-deficiency anaemia in pregnancy as a global health issue, with pregnant women in Norway having a low prevalence of 3%. Routine antepartum care in Norway includes screening for anaemia and treatment with supplementation as per national guidelines. The study aims to assess time trends in severe postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) among nulliparous women, with a focus on factors such as maternal age, birthweight, and medical morbidities. The authors emphasize the need for a multidisciplinary response to address the observed increase in severe PPH risk over time.
