The article focuses on the use of uterine transplantation (UTx) to treat absolute uterine factor infertility (AUFI) that affects one in 500 women of childbearing age. It is noted that the first human UTx attempt was made in Saudi Arabia in 2000 using a live donor while the second human UTx was performed in 2011 in Turkey. It is sated that careful ethical reflection is necessary with due respect for autonomy for UTx.
