Abstract

The article presents the discussion on Donald Trump representing a perverse return to authenticity in public life for giving offence. Topics include taking such arguments in a new direction by linking the contempt for hypocrisy, political correctness, and other alleged examples of dishonesty; rejecting the third-party character defining society through the image's normative power; and not mitigating the violence and explaining it as self-justification.
