Title

Disentangling the drivers of non-stationarity in tree growth.

Authors

Kannenberg, Steven A; Maxwell, Justin T

Abstract

Other data on tree growth, stand dynamics or microclimate are necessary to infer the ecological factors that limit photosynthesis and tree growth. This scientific commentary refers to 'Paired analysis of tree ring width and carbon isotopes indicates when controls on tropical tree growth change from light to water limitations' by Brienen et al.
