Abstract

The article analyzes the quantitative trait loci (QTL) for the fatty acid contents of backfat on Sus scrofa chromosomes. In order to detect QTL, a partial genome scan using microsatellite markers was utilized. Fatty acids have the ability to maintain the health of cell membranes and establish cellular metabolism. It cites that the discrepancies between the location estimates of the QTL for oleic acid in the study and for fatness traits in former research were not negligible.
