Considerations for "Disappearing" Analyte Concentrations: Undetectable Luteinizing Hormone in a Precocious Puberty Evaluation.
Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 06-year-old boy with pubarche and cafe´-au-lait spots and undergoing the evaluation for premature puberty. Topics include ACTH stimulation test demonstrating appropriate poststimulation showing the increase in cortisol, progesterone, 17-hydroxyprogesterone, androstenedione, and 17-hydroxypregnenolone; and showing Basal luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) concentrations within normal limits.
