Abstract: A letter to the editor is presented regarding a study on the effectiveness and safety of imipenem-clavulanate (IC), which was added to an optimized background regimen (OBR) against OBR control regiments, in the treatment of multidrug-resistant and extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis.
