Abstract

The article presents a study on twenty practicing secondary school teachers' understanding of mathematical sentences. The participants, who are presently enrolled in a mathematics education graduate program, participated in answering a three-part questionnaire. Results revealed that the evaluation of the learning process in professional development programs is similar to the interpretation of learning in classrooms with students.
