Abstract

The article presents a study which investigates the mathematical errors committed by Limited English Proficiency (LEP) students in the U.S. It notes that the findings of the study reveal that majority of LEP students committed systematic error patterns particularly "regrouping errors" and "math fact." Some of these students made errors involving the regrouping of addition combinations that have urged them to spend more time in their classrooms working on the difficult questions.
