Title

AN ANALYSIS OF SECONDARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS' MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM POSING.

Authors

Stickles, Paula R.

Abstract

The article presents a study regarding the types of mathematical problems posed by secondary and middle school teachers. The study is investigated using background questionnaires and four problem-posing instruments completed by the preservice and inservice teachers. It states that the teachers succeed when they posed mathematical problems which is related to the problems assigned to them. It says that a greater number of responses from problem generation than reformulation are posed by teachers.
