Glibenclamide (GBN) is a commonly used oral medication for treating type-II diabetes that acts by reducing high blood sugar levels. The effectiveness of GBN depends on the quality of the product. The quality is influenced by the solubility properties of a drug. This study aimed to measure the solubility of GBN in various solvent mixtures including some glycols and alcohols. The solubility was determined using a shake-flask method at 298.2 K under atmospheric pressure. The results showed that GBN had the highest solubility in ethylene glycol monomethyl ether and alcohol mixtures compared to the other tested glycols.
