Abstract: This document is a retraction note from the journal Scientific Reports regarding an article titled "Cost effective liquid phase exfoliation of MoS2 nanosheets and photocatalytic activity for wastewater treatment enforced by visible light." The editors have retracted the article due to concerns about the XRD data reported in Figure 3. Discrepancies were found between the raw data provided by the authors and the data reported in the published figure, leading to a loss of confidence in the reliability of the findings and conclusions. Some of the authors did not respond to correspondence about the retraction.
