Abstract

The article reports on the results of a study which showed that Batrachochytrium (B.) dendrobatidis releases are broad spectrum cytotoxins. The study found that the proliferative capacity of Xenopus laevis splenocytes inhibited by B. dendrobatidis was also observed in the separation of splenocytes from B. dendrobatidis. The study determined that cell wall synthesis of inhibiting B. Denrobatidis was decreased the negative effect of the fungus on lymphocyte proliferation.
