Abstract

The article focuses on the analysis conducted by Jacobs-Wagner and colleagues which overcame the mysterious location of protein synthesis in bacteria. It mentions that they use the fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) and live-cell assays in determining the location of the mRNA and they were able to identify that it was produce in one or two distinct foci. It states that chromosome act as guide that specifies the spatial localization of transcription and translation.
