Disease watch: In the news.

Abstract

The article presents a study on the paracetamol which allegedly can reduce the effectiveness of vaccine. The researchers conducted a randomized trial of 459 children who were vaccinated showed that treatment with paracetamol lowered the antibody responses to several vaccine antigens. The researchers suggest that after vaccination, antipyretic drugs should not be administered because of its adverse effects on the efficacy of the vaccine.
