Title

Bacterial physiology: Translation-independent mRNA silencing.

Authors

Jermy, Andrew

Abstract

The article presents a study on bacterial small non-coding RNA-mediated regulation of gene expression. It notes that when the 5' untranslated region (UTR) of an mRNA, sRNA can limit ribosome and reduce its translation. It also discusses Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium and Escherichia coli.
