Abstract

The article highlights the research on the apple proliferation disease caused by the bacterial pathogen Candidatus Phytoplasma mali and characterized by thin branches and tiny, tasteless fruits that cannot be sold. It presents the latest study on the behaviour of uninfected and infected insects towards odors from uninfected and infected apple plants. Major finding on the study is also discussed.
