Authors

Jones, Susan

Abstract

The article reports on the stringent response shut down of genome replication in Bacillus subtilis. The study in the article covers deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) primase, guanosine nucleotides, Escherichia coli, elongation of replication, and the starving of B. subtilis cells. Researchers examined stalled forks and chromosome replication as a premise for nutrient availability.
