In Brief.

Abstract

The article offers news briefs on health-related discoveries. Two new classes of small molecules were discovered which disrupted the distinct regulatory of Wnt-dependent signaling proteins in tissue homeostasis and cancer. Disrupting functional interactions between platelet chemokines suppresses atherosclerosis but directly antagonize chemokine receptors to immunological side effects. The use of mutant phosphoinositide 3-kinase and mammalian target of rapamycin may lead to tumour regression.
