Abstract

The article presents information on a research regarding the effect mitochondrial merging on neural health. The study observes that mitochondria form highly dynamic and interconnected networks, which are undergoing continuous remodeling, due to organelle fusion and fission. Many neurological diseases can be corrected through merging of mitochondria since they have links to the genetic errors in the mitochondria fusion machinery.
