Abstract

An interview with National Science Foundation (NSF) director Subra Suresh is presented. Suresh mentions the importance of articulating the usefulness of science, however, he notes the danger in following the high technological innovations in agencies like NSF. Suresh states that the Innovation Corps (I-Corps) aims to create national infrastructure and mechanisms which are supporting institutions that received funding from NSF. Suresh adds that NSF does not want to compromise scientific merit.
