Tetraalkylammonium Derivatives of 6-Methyluracil, a New Class of Cholinesterase Inhibitors: Characteristics of Interaction with Cholinesterases from Different Groups of Animals.
Presents a study which examined the synthesized tetraalklylammonium derivatives of 6-methyluracil for anticholinesterase activity. Efficiency of the inhibition of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) by tetraalklyammonium compounds; Trend toward a further decrease in the activity of ACE during dialysis; Effect of the structural difference between the enzymes from different groups of animals on the strength of binding of the inhibitors studied.
