- Title
Objective Structured Clinical Examination: Underused Tool in Epilepsy Fellowship Programs?
- Authors
Myers, Kenneth A.
- Abstract
The article discusses the underutilization of Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) in epilepsy fellowship programs, despite their effectiveness in medical training. The study implemented a formative OSCE for EEG/epilepsy fellows, receiving positive feedback and improving performance on the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists EEG Examination. The article suggests that OSCEs could enhance communication skills training for epilepsy fellows and recommends further research on incorporating OSCEs into fellowship programs to improve educational experiences.
