In this article, the author responds to reviews by Joyce White of three of his books on the archaeological site of Ban Non Wat in Thailand. The author notes that in her reviews White failed to explain why Ban Non Wat is of great importance. The author then summarizes the contents of his books, noting that the three volumes cover a vast chronological sequence beginning with late hunter-gatherers and proceeding through two Neolithic, six Bronze Age and three Iron Age phases. In addition, it is argued that the site's importance is largely due to its crucial strategic location.
