Abstract: We analyze features of direct measurements of the antenna radiation pattern at a finite distance from the antenna in the case where the sizes of the measuring antenna are comparable with those of the transmitting antenna. The features are analyzed using the impulse response of the transmitting antenna, which allows us to interpret fairly easily various effects related to the measuring antenna sizes.
