Title

REFLECTIONS ON AIR CAPTURE: THE POLITICAL ECONOMY OF ACTIVE INTERVENTION IN THE GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT.

Authors

Parson, Edward A.

Abstract

The article reflects on three types of intervening responses in the global carbon cycle. It mentions intervening responses, such as biological sequestration of carbon in forests or soils, point-source carbon capture from fossil fuels or combustion gases which is followed by sequestration in stable reservoirs, and various forms of albedo modification which are collectively called geoengineering.
