Abstract

A complex study was carried out on compositions containing pseudo-dimeric surfactants. Rheological and oscillation studies along with proppant testing (proppant drop rate and static proppant settling) were carried out. The effect of the composition on clay swelling was determined. Advantages were found for hydraulic fracturing fluids containing pseudo-dimeric surfactants.
