Abstract

The article discusses the transition to digital manufacturing and supply chain management in the context of Industry 4.0, emphasizing the integration of operations research and artificial intelligence. It explores various technologies such as additive manufacturing, robotics, digital twins, and blockchain in creating seamless end-to-end visibility in supply chains. The special issue features papers that demonstrate how automation, collaboration, identification, and data processing technologies can generate benefits for manufacturing and supply chains. The research presented in the article provides insights into optimizing supply chain operations through innovative approaches and interdisciplinary methods.
