Intravascular large B cell lymphoma presenting as anasarca: an unusual presentation of a rare lymphoma.

Abstract

The article presents a case study of an 82-year-old man who was presented in the hospital with progressive generalized edema associated with fever, angina and dyspnea. It mentions that skin biopsies reveal presence of malignant cells and also confirms intravascular B cell lymphoma (IVLBCL). The article discusses the use of rituximab in conjunction with anthracycline-based chemotherapy for treating IVLBCL.
