Completion of the Network of Relationships Inventory (Furman and Buhrmester, 1985) by 169 child respondents; Grandparent-grandchild relationships as supportive; Paternal grandfathers as less supportive than other grandparents; Influence of frequency of contact and grandparent health status on the relationship.
