Title

Commentary: What ever happened to feedback technology?

Authors

Tosti, Donald T.

Abstract

The article discusses the impact of feedback technology on effective learning. Feedback is defined as derived from the output of performance or its consequences and it must serve to modify subsequent action. Motivational feedback and formative or corrective feedback are two ways that feedback can be used to modify subsequent action. Coaches give formative feedback at the right time and usually focus on one thing at a time as compared to the typical feedback system in many organizations.
