- Abstract
Graphite tube woven fabrics (GTWF) and boron nitride (BN) sheets filled polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) composites were successfully prepared with enhanced thermal conductivity (TC) and electrical insulation. The continuous graphite tubes after etching nickel template provide fast channels for heat transfer, especially in in‐plane direction. The addition of BN prevents the formation of electrically conductive networks in the matrix. GTWF/BN/PDMS composites exhibit synchronously good TC and relatively high electrical resistivity. When compared with PDMS, the TC of GTWF/BN/PDMS composite with 4.2 wt% GTWF and 14 wt% BN is increased by 166 and 2521% in out‐of‐plane and in‐plane directions, respectively. Meanwhile, its electrical insulation is also improved compared with GTWF/PDMS composites. All above properties provide advantages to the GTWF/BN/PDMS composite for potential application in electronic packaging and electrical insulation. POLYM.
