The article discusses the enhanced production of gentamicin by Micromonospora echinospora (Me-22) as an effect of production of medium components, initially in starch and soyabean meal concentrations, examined in a lab scale stirred tank reactor. Details related to the effect of different aeration and agitation rates in a stirred tank reactor was analyzed. It is suggested that both aeration and agitation have caused a significant effect on gentamicin concentration, including productivity and biomass formation.
