EXPRESSION OF CONCERN: Selective Depletion of Tumor Neovasculature by Microbubble Destruction with Appropriate Ultrasound Pressure.
- Abstract
The International Journal of Cancer has issued an Expression of Concern regarding the article titled "Selective Depletion of Tumor Neovasculature by Microbubble Destruction with Appropriate Ultrasound Pressure." The concern arose due to discrepancies in the reported mouse tumor volumes in Figure 6c, which exceeded community standards for humane endpoint limits in mouse tumor studies. The authors have acknowledged inaccuracies in depicting tumor boundaries and defining tumor regions, leading to an overestimation of tumor volumes, which have since been reanalyzed to be less than 2000 mm3. The journal has decided to issue the Expression of Concern to address potential impacts on the article's conclusions.
