Abstract

The article examines a novel hemisphere-dependent leaning habit in Araucaria columnaris (Cook pine) in New Caledonia. Complex interactions of genetics and environmental stimuli in a tree's form, is determined. Also investigated is the relationship between magnitude of lean and latitude across regional samples in the country.
