Abstract

The article presents a study which investigates the potential for improving the predictive value of American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) anatomic stage group. Result shows that survival was never worse with nodal metastases nor better with cancer. The authors conclude that a simple combination of tumor differentiation, and lymphatic invasion within the tumor predicts survival following pancreatectomy.
