The article presents a study regarding the removal of melanoidons through electrolytic treatment and activated carbon adsorption. It mentions that the study altered the reactivity of synthetic melanoidins by electrolytically reducing and oxidizing 10% of it in an electrolytic cell alongside with the carrying out of adsorption studies and determination of filterability, surface tension, and capillary suction time. The results show a high chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal which reached 79%.
