- Title
Herausragende Leistungen in der Chemie: Die GDCh‐Preise im Herbst (Teil 2).
- Abstract
The article highlights the achievements of several scientists who were honored by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) for their outstanding contributions in the field of chemistry. Professor Dr. Katharina Landfester received the Liebig Medal for her work on organic polymers, particularly in the development and application of nanocapsules for targeted drug delivery and as building blocks for artificial cells. Professor Dr. Kurt Kremer was awarded the Hermann-Staudinger Prize for his establishment and application of multiscale modeling methods in understanding and processing polymer materials. Professor Dr. Peter W. Roesky received the Marianne-Baudler Prize for his research in inorganic chemistry, including the synthesis of structurally interesting compounds with applications in catalysis and luminescence. Professor Dr. Andreas Marx was honored with the Albrecht-Kossel Prize for his contributions to chemical biology, specifically in the study of protein-nucleic acid interactions. The article also provides information on upcoming GDCh training courses in various topics of chemistry.
