Highlights from the article: B Novel organoaluminum catalysts b , 2-oxazolinylphenylaluminum (Pheox-Al) and 2,6-bis(oxazolinyl)phenylaluminum (Phebox-Al) complexes, were synthesized. Phebox-Al(OTf) SB 2 sb had a much higher catalytic activity than typical inorganic Al salts such as AlCl SB 3 sb and Al(OTf) SB 3 sb in hydroboration of aldehydes. Lewis acids, aluminum, ligand design, hydrocarbyl ligand, organic aluminums.
