Sophia Fricke is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in physical chemistry and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). She recently published her first article as a corresponding author in Angewandte Chemie, titled "Multivariate Machine Learning Models of Nanoscale Porosity from Ultrafast NMR Relaxometry." Fricke's research focuses on sustainable materials and environmental applications. She is also a member of the Reimer Group at UC Berkeley and enjoys hobbies such as running, skiing, hiking, and playing the piano. Fricke believes that science is fun because it allows us to understand our place in the world and expand human knowledge. She is motivated to address socioeconomic and environmental challenges through her research.
