Abstract

Droplet Transport: Enhancing Spontaneous Droplet Motion on Structured Surfaces with Tailored Wedge Design (Adv. Keywords: capillary force; droplet transport; spontaneous movement; wedge-shaped gradient EN capillary force droplet transport spontaneous movement wedge-shaped gradient 1 1 1 01/27/21 20210122 NES 210122 In article number 2000520, Yixiang Gan and co-workers developed an experimentally validated model to tailor spontaneous droplets movement on surfaces with prescribed wedge shapes. This work reveals designed wedges with convex shapes have a better performance in enhancing droplet transport in applications, such as fog harvesting.
