Abstract

The article introduces the Good Clinical Proton Practice (GCPP) initiative to enhance proton therapy standards, addressing challenges faced by smaller or newly established proton centers. GCPP aims to provide guidelines, technical documentation, and white papers to ensure high-quality treatment for all patients. Key features include consistent quality standards, standardized operating procedures, and the involvement of medical physics experts, with a focus on distribution of resources, sharing knowledge, and engagement with the community. The initiative seeks to promote standardized, high-quality proton therapy to maximize its potential in cancer treatment.
