    Artemisone—A Highly Active Antimalarial Drug of the Artemisinin ClassWork at the HKUST was funded by Bayer AG Central Research, Leverkusen, the Institute of Molecular Technology for Drug Discovery and Synthesis through the HKSAR University Grants Committee Areas of Excellence Fund, and the HKSAR Research Grants Council through the Competitive Earmarked Research Grants Scheme. The Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV), Geneva, also provided financial support of the work at Bayer, and through Bayer at HKUST and other centers. Dr. W. Collins (Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta) supplied P. falciparum FVO strain used for the primate studies.
