- Abstract
The article discusses research which investigated the impact of an intense lifestyle intervention on neuropathy progression and quality of life in individuals with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Topics discussed include the administration of 18 months of supervised exercise training, actigraphy-based counseling and individualize dietary counseling to the intervention group, neuropathy progression as measured by intraepidermal nerve fiber density and limitations of the study.
