- Abstract
The author reflects on the use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in breast cancer patients with 18F-Fludeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT). He says that NAC increases breast-conserving surgery (BCS) performance and an excellent setting in documenting tumour response after chemotherapy. He mentions that consensual definition of histological response is needed and that early prediction of response allows change of therapy in case of inefficacy.
