- Abstract
The article discusses comments by Gary Gensler of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission regarding exemptions for non-financial firms to a new rule governing the use of derivatives. Gensler said non-financial companies would not be made to pay margin fees on their transactions. However, tobacco company Philip Morris International Inc. and brewer MillerCoors expressed concerns over other aspects of the rule.
