- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an 86-year old woman with end-stage renal disease who was admitted for left flank pain for ten hours. The patient was hypotensive and had firm, exquisitely tender left flank mass. Her computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen showed a 20 centimeter (cm) left renal mass with extensive fatty tissue and retroperitoneal hemorrhage. She died of hemorrhagic shock.
